Now a days On-Grid Solar system is highly recommended for houses in urban & suburban areas. All it takes is a day’s work – and you can say goodbye to power cuts and electricity bills forever.
The unique feature of this system is that it is grid-connected. This means that as long as there’s sunlight, the system powers your building, stores some power in the batteries, and feeds the excess power to the grid (in this case, the government). Once the Sun is down, the building is powered by the battery as well as the grid.
Wonder how all this power is accounted for? Leave that job to the smart-meter that we install. This meter keeps track of the power consumed from the grid and the power fed to the grid by the system. If the power consumed is more than the power fed, you pay only for the small difference. However, if the power fed is more than the power consumed, you get paid for the excess power produced and supplied to the grid.
